Blender jars are among the most frequently used kitchen tools, making them prone to stains from ingredients such as tomatoes, turmeric, peppers, coffee, and fruit juices. Over time, these stains can make your blender look old and unhygienic even when it is clean. The good news is that removing stubborn stains from blender jars is simple with these cleaning methods.

Use Baking Soda and Warm Water
Baking soda is highly effective for removing tough stains and odors. Add two tablespoons of baking soda into the blender jar, pour in warm water, and let it sit for about 15–20 minutes. After soaking, use a soft sponge or brush to gently scrub the inside, then rinse thoroughly.

Try Vinegar for Deep Cleaning
White vinegar helps break down stains and kill bacteria. Pour equal parts of vinegar and warm water into the jar, then leave it for 10–15 minutes. Blend the mixture for a few seconds, pour it out, and rinse with clean water. This method is also great for removing unpleasant smells.

Use Lemon and Salt
Lemon works as a natural stain remover while salt adds gentle scrubbing power. Cut a lemon in half, dip it into salt, and rub it directly on stained areas inside the jar. Let the juice sit for a few minutes before washing with dish soap and warm water.

Blend Soap and Water
For lighter stains, fill the blender halfway with warm water, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid, and blend for 30 seconds. This helps loosen food particles stuck under the blades and around the corners. Rinse well afterward.

Avoid Harsh Scrubbing Tools
Do not use steel wool or very hard brushes, as they can scratch plastic blender jars and make stains easier to stick to in the future. Always use soft sponges or bottle brushes for cleaning.

Clean Immediately After Use
The best way to prevent stubborn stains is by washing your blender immediately after use. Letting food residue dry inside the jar makes cleaning harder and increases the chance of discoloration.
