If you’re a Nigerian living in Nigeria, you’ve probably seen Lasagna in movies or had it at a restaurant. With this recipe, you can make delicious restaurant style lasagna at home. Walk with me 😉
Ingredients:
• Lasagna sheets
• Beef mince
• 2 tins crushed tomatoes
• 1 brown onion (finely diced)
• 4 garlic cloves (minced)
• Olive oil
• Unsalted butter
• Plain flour
• Whole milk
• Parmesan & mozzarella (grated)
• Salt, pepper, oregano, parsley
• Chicken stock cube (Knorr)
You can easily find these ingredients at home or any grocery store in your area
Method:
1. Make the Bolognese
Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté onions and garlic until soft. Add beef mince and cook until browned. Season well. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, and herbs. Simmer on low heat until thick and rich.
2. Make the Béchamel Sauce
Melt butter in a pot, add flour and whisk until smooth. Slowly add milk while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until thick. Season with salt, pepper, and stock cube. Add a little Parmesan and set aside.
3. Assemble
In a baking dish, layer sauce, lasagna sheets, béchamel, mozzarella, and meat sauce. Repeat until full, finishing with béchamel and a generous cheese topping.
4. Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 30–45 minutes. Remove foil and bake until golden and bubbling.
5. Rest
Let it sit for 10 minutes before cutting for clean slices.
