Have you ever wondered what actually goes into the Tombrown you buy?
Tombrown is a roasted grain-based mixture commonly made with ingredients such as grains, nuts and other additions, depending on the recipe. It can be enjoyed as a meal or drink and can be a convenient way to combine different nutritious ingredients in one mixture.
Instead of buying an already-made mixture, I decided to make my own at home and take you along from the very beginning.
And the interesting part?
I'm using ingredients that are relatively easy to find and can fit into a budget.
So let's make homemade Tombrown together, one step at a time. 🥣
🌾 DAY 1: MILLET + GUINEA CORN
We're starting with two ingredients:
🌾 Millet
Millet is a cereal grain that provides carbohydrates, fibre, some protein and minerals. It is also a grain commonly eaten in many Nigerian households.
🌾 Guinea corn (Oka Baba)
Guinea corn is another cereal grain that provides carbohydrates, fibre and some nutrients. It is also commonly used in traditional Nigerian foods and drinks.
These are just our first two ingredients. We're not rushing the process because I want you to see everything that goes into my homemade Tombrown, from the individual ingredients to the final mixture and how I preserve it.
And we're doing it this way so you can follow along without feeling like you have to buy everything at once.
One ingredient at a time.
Easy.
Budget-friendly.
And you'll get to see the whole process.
🥣 This is only the beginning of our Tombrown journey.
Continue following this process with me because by the end of this series, we'll talk about:
✨ The health benefits of the different ingredients
✨ What Tombrown actually provides the body
✨ Whether it can support healthy weight gain or not
✨ How the ingredients work together
✨ And other things you should know before adding it to your diet
I'm taking you through everything one step at a time, so you can follow the process without having to buy everything at once.
Follow this page, like this post and save it so you don't miss the next ingredient and the rest of the process.
Tomorrow, we're adding another ingredients, stay tuned! 😊
