Every woman desires a man of substance a man of purpose, character, vision, and capacity. But here is a truth many women overlook:
Men of substance are also looking for women of substance.
If you desire a man of substance, become a woman who has substance.
1. Discover Your Purpose
When Adam saw Eve, he said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.” Adam did not just see a beautiful woman; he saw someone with the capacity to be a co-labourer with him in the garden.
He had finally found someone who could understand the assignment and partner with him in fulfilling it.
Your purpose is a point of attraction.
What is that thing burning in your heart for God and for humanity? What burden, passion, or assignment has God placed within you?
Somewhere, there may be someone carrying a similar burden, vision, or calling, someone who is looking for a woman who can understand, support, and partner with their assignment.
Your purpose will attract purpose.
2. Polish Yourself, Outwardly and Inwardly
Polish is not only about appearance.
Indecent dressing is not polish. Exposing your body is not polish. And while beauty and intelligence are valuable, getting a man of substance is not about beauty and brains alone.
I have seen brilliant and beautiful women who ended up with men who lacked wisdom, character, and purpose.
Your character matters. Your behaviour matters.
Polish your behaviour as much as you polish your appearance. Bad behaviour does not attract or sustain a relationship with a man of substance.
Your character is your marital CV. It speaks before you speak.
Consider Ruth. Her character and reputation spoke for her. Boaz had already heard about the kind of woman she was before their relationship developed.
3. Position Yourself Where Men of Substance Can Find You
You cannot consistently hang around places that produce mediocrity and expect to encounter greatness.
Be intentional about your environment.
Attend events, conferences, churches, and gatherings where purpose-driven people are likely to be found. Serve in areas connected to your interests and calling. Build meaningful relationships.
And yes, be visible online.
Let your good works be seen. Let your values, purpose, gifts, and substance be evident.
Positioning matters.
4. Pray Him Into Your Life
Never underestimate the power of prayer.
I have seen women pray men of substance into their lives.
If you desire a purposeful marriage, pray intentionally about it. Ask God for wisdom, discernment, and divine direction. Pray not only to meet the right man but to become the right woman.
Prayer can position you where principles cannot reach.
5. Partner with Women Who Are Married to Men of Substance
There is wisdom in godly relationships and mentorship.
That pastor’s wife, mentor, coach, or spiritually mature woman you admire may have access to people and relationships you do not yet know.
Boaz was connected to Naomi.
Never underestimate the role of divine connections and godly women who can guide, mentor, and position you wisely.
THIS IS NOT ONLY FOR SINGLE LADIES
Divorced? Widowed? God is still the God of new beginnings and second chances.
Do not believe the lie that your story has ended because one chapter did not go as planned.
God can rewrite your story.
And if you have practised principles and still see no result, perhaps you need more than principles.
What you need is POWER to break every resistance to your marital fulfilment and that requires prayer and a deep level of intimacy with the Spirit of God.
