Here’s what Nigerians are really paying based on common hospital packages and private lab pricing:
A basic full body checkup (CBC, malaria test, urinalysis, blood sugar) usually starts from around ₦10,000 – ₦20,000 in smaller labs.
A more detailed screening (liver, kidney, cholesterol, blood sugar, urine, infection checks) sits around ₦25,000 – ₦60,000 depending on the facility.
At premium diagnostic centers, full wellness panels can go as high as ₦80,000 – ₦170,000+, especially when it includes thyroid, hormone tests, and deeper organ screening.
Three things influence choice of hospitals and labs more than price:
• Speed of results
• How professional the staff are
• Whether results are actually explained, not just sent as PDFs
Many also say they prefer at-home sample collection services or well-known labs because of trust and convenience, not just cost.
