Forget the “Lagos is expensive” talk. Let’s break down the money you may actually need. 👇

For "ONE PERSON", living relatively modestly:

🏠 Accommodation: ₦60k–₦150k/month
(usually assuming shared accommodation or converting annual rent into a monthly figure)

🍚 Food & groceries: ₦60k–₦120k
Cooking at home can save you a lot, some people believe so but some peolple do not.

🚌 Transport: ₦30k–₦70k
Public transport is much cheaper than using Bolt every day.

💡Electricity + water + gas: ₦20k–₦60k

📱 Data + calls: ₦5k–₦15k

🧴 Toiletries + personal care: ₦10k–₦25k

🏥 Emergency/miscellaneous: ₦20k–₦50k

💰 ROUGH MONTHLY TOTAL:

₦205,000 – ₦490,000 plus

And here's the catch 👀...

That does NOT mean you can move to Lagos with ₦205k and automatically be comfortable.

Rent is often paid annually, and agency/legal/caution/service charges can require a large upfront payment. Your location also changes everything. Someone living in a cheaper Mainland area and commuting by public transport will have a very different budget from someone living around Lekki, VI or Ikoyi and using ride-hailing frequently.

🔥 **THE REAL LAGOS SURVIVAL FORMULA:**

**Where you live + how you commute + how you eat = how fast your money disappears.** 😂

And tell me honestly:

What is the minimum salary someone needs to survive in Lagos today? 👇
