Here’s what I do.

Every month, I give my children a small allowance.

Then I had a carpenter build three small wooden boxes labeled:

 • Charity

 • Savings

 • Flex

For example, if my 5 year old receives ₦500 for the month:

 • ₦100 goes into Charity

 • ₦200 goes into Savings

 • ₦200 goes into Flex

Here’s what it teaches them:

1. Giving is normal.

They grow up understanding that money is not just for spending on themselves.

2. Saving is intentional.

Before enjoyment comes discipline.

3. Enjoyment is allowed.

Money is not something to fear or hoard. It’s something to manage wisely.

Over time, they begin to see money as a tool.

This is my small way of building a wealth mindset early.
