How I'd Stretch ₦5,000 for the Week
This was my exact routine during my NYSC service at kogi State
Monday: Rice and stew
Tuesday: Beans
Wednesday: Rice and stew
Thursday: Eba with egusi soup
Friday: Fresh roasted or boiled corn (₦500)
Saturday: Eba with ewedu soup
Sunday: Rice and stew
During my NYSC service in Kogi State, I learned how to budget every naira. My meals were simple but satisfying, and I always made room for one of my favorites—corn. Spending ₦500 on corn was worth it because I genuinely love it.
Living on a tight budget taught me that you don't need a lot of money to eat well—you just need a good plan.
