How Do You Know You're Gaining Weight the Healthy Way?

Can I ask you something?

Let's say you've been trying to gain weight for a few weeks now.

You discover you've gained a little weight.

You smile.

But... how do you know it's actually healthy weight gain?

Most of us get excited the moment we notice we've added a few kilos. I understand that feeling.

But healthy weight gain isn't just about seeing your weight go up.

It's also about how you feel.

Are your clothes fitting better?

Do you have more energy during the day?

Are you eating balanced meals instead of forcing yourself to eat anything you can find?

Are you expecting your body to change too quickly because you want fast results?

Those are the kinds of questions that matter too.

One thing I always tell women is this:

Don't let the number on your weight be the only way you measure your progress.

Your body is more than a number.

Healthy weight gain takes consistency.

It takes nourishing your body with good food, getting enough rest, staying active, and giving yourself time.

And please, don't compare how fast your body is changing to another woman's body.

Some women gain weight faster.

Others need a little more time.

That doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong.

So if you're wondering whether you're gaining weight the healthy way, don't only ask,

"Have I gained weight?"

Also ask yourself,

"Is my body becoming healthier?"

Sometimes, that's the better question.
