“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8
Finding God is not about physically seeing Him, it is about intentionally seeking His face and acknowledging that your existence is not an accident but a deliberate creation.
While the idea of seeking God can apply to different religions, my focus is Christianity because many of us have forgotten that we were created by God, we carry His breath, and we owe Him our lives not because He is holding us to ransom but because everything we are flows from Him.
In 2022, life tested me mentally in ways I cannot fully explain, and although I will not go into details, that was the year I truly understood what it meant to struggle emotionally and also the year I found God for myself, not because someone pushed me but because I desperately needed Him. (You don’t have to wait to be desperate, find him when you are not desperate too.)
Finding God means talking to Him when nobody understands your thoughts, opening your Bible out of hunger and not routine, refusing to use the flaws of modern churches as an excuse to disconnect, and choosing to seek Him personally before life forces you to.
“Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth.” Ecclesiastes 12:1
You may not see Him with your physical eyes, but when you intentionally seek Him, you will find Him, and sometimes in the process of finding God, you finally find yourself.
