Sometimes, I go back to my diary and read through the things I wrote years ago. Then I realise the mistakes I made, the things I misunderstood, and the decisions I could have handled differently. With the little knowledge I have gained now, I naturally wish I could go back and change some things.
But life has moved on.
Sometimes, I see people waiting patiently for karma to come for someone who offended them. They wait for that person to fail, suffer, apologise, or return to beg them before they can finally feel vindicated.
But what if karma never comes in the way you expect?
Life is bigger than waiting for someone who hurt you to receive punishment. If you keep believing that the people who offended you must come back and beg before they can become something in life, you may only be deceiving yourself.
Yes, some people offend us badly. Some betray us. Some hurt us in ways we never imagined. And sometimes, justice may eventually find its way to them. But you cannot put your life on hold waiting for that day.
Because while you are watching to see whether your enemy will fall, they may be somewhere building, learning, growing, and becoming everything they once said they would become.
Then, one day, you realise that you were so busy waiting for their punishment that you forgot to pursue your own progress.
Not everything that happens to you needs punishment before you can heal. Not every wrong requires revenge. Sometimes, the greatest response is simply to move on and build a life that no longer depends on what someone else did to you.
Let people live with their choices.
You, however, have a life to build.
So, guy, stand up. Start your game again. Pick yourself up, learn from what happened, and keep moving.
Your life should not become a waiting room for someone else’s karma.
