Ebubu is a prominent clan and community situated in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, located roughly 20 kilometers east of the Port Harcourt metropolis. It is a vital industrial and institutional hub, serving as the location for key military and infrastructural developments within the Greater Port Harcourt area.
Ebubu hosts the Headquarters of the Nigerian Navy Training Command (NAVTRAC), which features significant base facilities, parade grounds, and personnel accommodations.
It is located along the vital East-West Road corridor, Ebubu is adjacent to the region's heavy industrial and economic zones. It serves as a major logistical point near the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone and houses the Ebubu-Eleme Trailer Park to manage industrial traffic.
The Eleme people—historically linked by tradition and migration to the Ogoni—are an indigenous group in the area. Ebubu is one of the ten principal towns of Eleme, with its people speaking the distinct Odido dialect.
Who would like a story time on my experiences in Ebubu?
