DAY 5 — GOOGLE IS NOT YOUR DOCTOR
Yesterday, we agreed that our body can send messages, right?
Today, let us talk about what happens next.
You notice a strange symptom.
Instead of booking an appointment, you open Google or ChatGPT to ask for your health wellbeing. As how now?
Five minutes later, you have diagnosed yourself with cancer, malaria, three rare diseases and possibly the illness of a man who lived in Sweden in 1998.
Please, let us rest.
The internet can give information, but it cannot examine you, take your medical history or perform the tests you may need.
And the opposite is also true. Do not use the internet to convince yourself that everything is harmless.
A persistent or unusual symptom deserves proper medical attention.
Not WhatsApp or ChatGPT Doctor.
Not your neighbour's aunty.
Not “my friend's friend had the same thing.”
See a qualified health professional.
Because when it comes to your health, Google or Ai can help you ask questions.
But it should not be the one giving you the final diagnosis. Be careful.
Till I write to you tomorrow, let keep our body healthy and be safe.
