Cancer Needs Serious Awareness

Right now, cancer has entered the group discussion.

Please, nobody should type “God forbid” and disappear.

We need to talk about it.

Because Nigerians can spend three hours analysing somebody’s wedding, but once cancer enters the conversation, everybody suddenly remembers an urgent appointment somewhere.

However, cancer does not care about our silence.

It does not check your account balance, surname, gender or whether you are the person who always says, “Nothing can happen to me.”

And no, this is not a 30-day series designed to scare you.

It is designed to make us pay attention.

For the next 30 days, I will be talking about cancer, the risks, prevention, early detection, treatment, misinformation, and the things we can actually do differently.

No unnecessary medical grammar.

No miracle-cure from this awareness.

Just real conversation, small satire, and serious sense.

Because ignoring cancer does not make it disappear.

Welcome to Day 1.

Now, let us talk.
