The AFCON begins in a few days and massive preparations are ongoing to host the biggest football tournament in Africa. Just last year, Ivory Coast won the title on home soil defeating Nigeria at the final. Now with the hosting right in the hands of Morocco, questions are being asked if the North African side has all it takes to make it work. The Lions have only one title in their belt in their 20 appearances dating since 1972.
Without doubt, Morocco team is one of the brightest sides in this year’s AFCON and currently the African footballer of the year, Archaf Hakimi is in the team, this makes them a must watch team during the tournament.
Being the host, they have been pitched against Mail, Zambia and Comoros in Group A.
Morocco have stayed unbeaten against Comoros in their last four meetings. Morocco have also defeated Mali but only lost to Zambia once.
Even if the group stage looks like an easy round, will Morocco still win on home soil after all odds.
