BE HUMBLE

Ecclesiastes 9:11 I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. (NIV)

Our effort is not solely responsible for our success. Everyone want their effort to be applauded. We want to feel the satisfaction of having earned something. But the truth is, no effort equate what we have. It is not by strength that one succeeds.

There is time in the spirit, and there is a set time for a certain glory and manifestation in the life of everyone. Until it is a man's time for a certain thing he won't get it even if he tried or if he tried so hard and get it, it leads to his destruction. We all don't operate by the same time and season, it's one man's time to own a house, but not yet for another. That's why you must not judge your life by the progress of others. 

What we need is to be in God's will so that we would not miss our time and chance. These two are factors for making ultimate difference in life. When it's your time and chance nothing can stop you; everything work together for your good and come to you by free course.

When things start working in your favour be humble. Don't become arrogant, conceited, proud and disrespectful. Be humble! You are not ahead because you are swifter, you are not winning because you are stronger, you are not rich because you are wiser, you are not favoured because you are learned, but TIME and CHANCE happened to you. Be humble. Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father I recognize your grace and favour in my success. I am where I am because of your goodness and mercy. I yield myself to the simplicity and humility that is in Christ Jesus. I recognize that it is not by my strength that I prevailed. I continue in your grace, having my time and chance always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
