PRAY FOR YOUR LEADERS

1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (NIV)

God instructs us in this above verse through Apostle Paul to pray and intercede for our leaders, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

If we want peace in our nations we must pray for our nations and leaders as the Word instructs us. A lot of people wish there would be peace, security and good governance but not many of us take our responsibility to pray for these. Peace, security, godliness and holiness in our society result from our prayer. If we don't pray we won't enjoy them.

The leadership of our nation can be better, the economy of our nation can be better, the security can be better, unity can be better, everything can be better if we pray consistently as the Word tells us to. The church is the pillar of this world; the church is the spiritual leader of this world. If we don't take our place to enforce things through the spirit we will live in a world that is out of order and where righteousness is suppressed. Every church and its individual member must assume the responsibility to pray for leaders and nations. 

Let's read our theme verse again, 1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

As a church take your place, as an individual take your place. Let's keep praying for our leaders and nations. 

PRAYER

Precious Father we pray for our nations and leaders today. We declare that demonic influence is broken off our leaders and nations. We declare that peace, righteousness and justice prevail in our nations. We declare that our leaders are shielded from evil and the evil one, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
