🚗 Bolt

For me, Bolt feels more predictable.

The price is usually fixed before I confirm the ride, so I know what I’m paying upfront. I don’t have to negotiate or wait for drivers to accept different offers.

What I’ve experienced:

• Drivers respond fairly fast in busy areas

• The app is straightforward to use

• Cars often feel consistent in standard

The downside is surge pricing. During peak hours, the fare can jump higher than expected, and that’s when it starts feeling expensive.

🚘 InDrive

InDrive feels different because you control the price.

I’ve personally gotten rides cheaper than Bolt by setting my own fare and waiting for a driver to accept. Sometimes drivers counter, and you negotiate until you agree.

What I’ve noticed:

• It can be cheaper if demand isn’t too high

• You have room to adjust your offer

• It sometimes takes longer to match with a driver

If I’m in a location where drivers are available quickly, InDrive can save me money. But if it’s late or demand is high, matching can take time.

After using both, I don’t see one as fully “better” than the other.

If I need speed and simplicity, I open Bolt.

If I want to reduce cost and I have time to negotiate, I check InDrive first.

For me, it’s about choosing based on situation, not loyalty to one app.
