If lamb chops are on the menu, I’m ordering them. Over time, I’ve tried them across Lagos, and these are the spots that consistently get it right in terms of tenderness, seasoning, portion size, and overall experience.
Here’s where I go when I want proper lamb chops in Lagos:
🔸Gaby Lagos – Victoria Island
This is easily one of my favorites. The lamb chops here are well seasoned with herbs, grilled properly, and served juicy, not dry.
The flavor leans Mediterranean, so expect balanced seasoning rather than overly spicy heat. The plating is clean and refined, so it’s also a good spot for dinner dates or business meals.
If you like your lamb tender with subtle herbs and a smoky finish, this is a solid choice.
🔸Vanilla Moon – Victoria Island
Vanilla Moon never disappoints. Their lamb chops are consistently well prepared and portioned properly.
I like this spot when I want something slightly upscale but still relaxed. The meat is usually cooked evenly with good char on the outside and juicy inside.
🔸Shiro Lagos – Victoria Island
Shiro is known for its stylish setting, and their grilled meats are strong. The lamb chops here are flavorful and plated beautifully.
This is the kind of place I go when I want the full experience, good ambience, good cocktails, and properly grilled meat.
🔸Cilantro Lagos – Victoria Island
Cilantro is reliable. Their lamb chops are well grilled and usually come with solid sides. Service is consistent, and the food quality is dependable.
If I want something that feels polished but not overly dramatic, this works.
🔸Cilantro Ikeja – Ikeja
When I’m on the mainland and craving lamb chops, this is usually my go-to.
The chops are properly grilled and often served with sautéed vegetables or potatoes. It saves me the stress of driving to the island for a good plate.
🔸THE HOUSE Lagos – Victoria Island
This place has a stylish atmosphere, and their grilled selections, including lamb chops, are well executed.
It’s a good balance between ambience and food quality. I’ve had consistently good experiences here.
🔸The A Steakhouse – Victoria Island
If you’re serious about meat, this is worth trying. As a steakhouse, they understand temperature control and seasoning.
The lamb chops here are usually well paired with proper sides and wine options. It’s relaxed but refined, which I like.
If you’ve tried a better one, especially outside Victoria Island and Ikeja, I’d honestly like to know.
