You can ask most founders in Nigeria, finding talent for their business has always been a major challenge. From inexperience candidates to those that talk but cannot perform.

From experience and similar complains I got from friends, here are the sources I’ve concluded works for a startup to find talent for their business

- Network recommendation
Why? Simply because you do not need to go through thousands of CVs just to find one candidate plus direct recommendation will solve 50% of your vetting

- Indeed
Why? From experience, the process of screening candidate is very good and robust, you can easily schedule a candidate to interview or reject with automated responses. Lots of professions use this after LinkedIn

- LinkedIn
Why? Because it’s LinkedIn that we all know. They have the largest database of working professionals, so you cannot ignore it. Still putting them in third place because managing candidates is not efficient at all but they do have pool. Be careful though, because of the easy way to apply for jobs… most just click apply without reading requirements

These are the top 3 that has worked for me. You will notice I didn’t mention Jobbermann, my experience with them was just not pleasant.
