As a UNILAG student, I don’t overthink breakfast. I just need something cheap, fast, and filling before lectures. Most mornings, I grab bread and akara from the vendors near the gate it’s affordable, hot, and perfect when I’m already late. When I want something more solid, I go for a bread and egg sandwich from the small food stands close by, usually with tea to keep me going till afternoon.
On calm mornings, I take akamu (pap) and moimoi light, warm, and comfortable. If I need something quick and hot, Indomie with egg from the roadside joints near the gate always works, especially when I buy early. Some days, it’s just tea and bun, quick gist with friends, then straight into campus.
Around the UNILAG gates, breakfast isn’t about luxury. It’s about surviving the day without spending too much, and these options always get the job done.
