Don't rent a house without visiting the area at different times of the day.

When I first started looking at properties, I focused on the building itself. The house looked good, the rent seemed fair, and everything appeared fine during the daytime.

What I later learned is that the neighbourhood matters just as much as the property.

Visit in the morning, afternoon, and evening if possible. Check the traffic situation, ask about security, find out how often there is electricity, test the mobile network, and speak with people who already live nearby.

A beautiful apartment can become frustrating if you spend hours in traffic every day, struggle with poor network coverage, or discover issues that weren't obvious during your first visit.

That simple step can save you money, stress, and regret.
