Before You Call Yourself Unsuccessful, Read This
You got a job.
You lost it.
You started a business.
It didn’t work.
You made money.
You lost some of it.
You’re 30 and still figuring out what you want.
So you’ve decided you’re unsuccessful.
Based on what?
A timeline you created in your head?
Someone else’s LinkedIn update?
The person who bought a house while you’re still paying rent?
You need to be honest with yourself.
There are things you should improve.
There are decisions you should regret.
There are areas of your life where you are genuinely behind.
Call those things what they are.
Just don’t turn a temporary position into your identity.
Being behind financially is not the same as being a failure.
Changing careers is not failure.
Starting over is not failure.
Taking longer than expected is not failure.
The real problem is refusing to learn, refusing to adapt and continuing to make the same choices while complaining about the results.
So before you say,
I’m unsuccessful.
Ask yourself
Am I actually failing, or am I simply impatient with my progress?
Those are two very different things.
