This was one of the last things I checked before renting in Lagos and I’m still paying the price of this error. 

Before renting an apartment in Lagos, ensure you check the proximity of the house to a major bus stop. 

If you miss this step, you may find it very difficult to commute to work or find yourself staying indoors a lot more.
