Hearing Datti Baba-Ahmed say, “Atiku started contesting when I was doing my NYSC,” hit me differently. I mean, think about it. While he was busy figuring out how to survive the NYSC camps and dodging morning drills, Atiku was already chasing the presidency.
It really puts things in perspective. Nigeria has been running the same leadership playlist for decades, and honestly, it’s high time we hit shuffle and bring in a new generation. People who understand today’s Nigeria and its challenges.
Sometimes, the most obvious truth is the one we keep ignoring: our leaders should grow up with the times, not with our parents’ era.
