Asake talking about relocating to LA really stood out to me. Not because of the move itself, but why he moved.

He basically said: it’s not about running away from Nigeria or “soft life abroad.” People are hustling everywhere. Rich people exist everywhere. Talent exists everywhere.

LA didn’t change him. It just widened his exposure.

What I found interesting is how grounded his mindset is. He still sees humans as humans. Same struggles, same dreams, different locations. The only real difference? New people, new rooms, new possibilities.

He also mentioned spending a lot of time alone to stay centred. That part hit. Sometimes distance isn’t about escape, it’s about clarity.

And the craziest part? Music wasn’t even the plan. Acting, dancing, stage performance came first. Music just… found him.

It’s a reminder that growth doesn’t always mean reinvention. Sometimes it’s just carrying who you already are into a bigger space.

What do you think? Is relocation about chasing opportunity, or creating room to evolve?
