Most of us learnt how to brush our teeth when we were children.

But did anyone actually teach us how to brush properly?

Because brushing your teeth isn't just about putting toothpaste on a toothbrush and moving it around your mouth.

A few things actually matter:

🪥 1. Don't brush too aggressively.
Brushing harder doesn't mean you're cleaning better. Gentle pressure is enough.

🪥 2. Pay attention to the gumline.
Place your toothbrush at a slight angle towards where your teeth and gums meet and use gentle, small movements.

🪥 3. Don't forget the different surfaces.
Clean the outside, inside and chewing surfaces of your teeth.

🪥 4. Give it enough time.
Aim to brush for about two minutes, twice a day.

🪥 5. Don't completely ignore your tongue.
Gently cleaning your tongue can help remove buildup and keep your mouth feeling fresher.

And one more thing: your toothbrush doesn't need to be attacked like you're scrubbing a stubborn pot.

Gentle and thorough is the goal.

I've been using this toothbrush for this little 3-day series, and honestly, it made me pay more attention to something I usually do without thinking.

So, be honest: how were you taught to brush your teeth?

Side to side?
Up and down?
Circular movements?
Or nobody really taught you,
you just figured it out yourself? 👀
