Which ever way, learning is learning. It is not enough to have the knowledge, of course there is a plethora of humans with knowledge, but how many really do apply the learned knowledge to life?
So this is it, learning either from your experience or others' would still keep you a victim in the absence of application.
If you doubt what I'm saying, ask thieves, robbers, prostitutes, 419ers, and the like... They'd tell you so many experiences they'd had, but 95% would not apply that until the day they become victim of their foolishness even with their knowledge.
