Anthony Joshua was involved in a serious crash on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway near Sagamu. Two people reportedly lost their lives, while AJ and another passenger were injured. Thankfully, he’s stable and receiving treatment, but that’s a traumatic experience no one deserves.

Beyond the celebrity angle, this is another painful reminder of how dangerous our highways can be — speeding, bad overtaking, broken-down trucks, burst tyres… it’s a deadly mix.

Condolences to the families who lost loved ones, and wishing Anthony Joshua a full recovery. We really need to take road safety more seriously in this country.
