In my fashion business, I don’t do everything alone. I work with other tailors who help with sewing different parts of the production.
There was a time when I assumed that once I explained a design clearly, everything would move smoothly. But I quickly learned that working with people is more complex than that.
Even when instructions are given, every tailor has a different way of interpreting details, speed, and finishing style. Sometimes this leads to differences in expectations during the final result.
At first, I used to feel frustrated when things didn’t come out exactly as planned. But with time, I realized something important:
Communication in a team is not a one-time instruction — it is a continuous process.
So I changed my approach. I started:
Breaking designs down more clearly
Checking progress at different stages
Making sure everyone understands the expected finish before sewing begins
That small change improved my workflow a lot.
I learned that in fashion business:
Your success is not only in your skill, but in how well you manage a team to bring your ideas to life.
