👉 SMEDAN does not legally register businesses.


🔹 Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

What it is:
The government body responsible for legally registering businesses and companies in Nigeria.

What they do:

* Register Business Names
* Register Limited Liability Companies (Ltd)
* Register NGOs and Incorporated Trustees
* Issue CAC certificate (legal proof your business exists)

👉 CAC registration makes your business legally recognized in Nigeria.
