You don't need to build an AI company.
You can make side income by using AI to do ordinary services faster and better.
1. Create WhatsApp content for businesses.
Find a salon, restaurant, real estate agent, coach or small business that posts inconsistently.
Offer to create 20–30 WhatsApp Status posts for them each month: promotions, educational posts, FAQs, customer stories and sales messages.
AI helps you produce the drafts. You charge for the finished content.
2. Turn voice notes into content.
Many business owners have plenty of ideas but hate writing.
They send you a 10-minute voice note.
You turn it into a LinkedIn post, Instagram caption, email or article using AI, then edit it so it actually sounds like them.
3. Create product descriptions for online sellers.
Someone selling clothes, skincare, food, jewellery or home products may have 50 products with terrible descriptions.
Give them clear names, descriptions, selling points and FAQs.
Charge per product or for a package.
4. Create CVs for job seekers.
Don't just “make a CV with ChatGPT.
Take someone's old CV, ask the right questions, restructure their experience and tailor the final CV to the job they're applying for.
You can also offer a cover letter and LinkedIn profile as an add-on.
5. Create weekly content packs for professionals.
Pick one niche.
For example dentists, nutritionists, real estate agents or lawyers.
Give them a monthly package containing captions, hooks, content ideas and WhatsApp Status content.
The narrower your offer, the easier it is to sell.
6. Turn one video into ten pieces of content.
A coach records one 20-minute video.
You turn it into short posts, hooks, captions, email content, FAQs and talking points.
AI does much of the heavy lifting.
You charge for the repurposing service.
7. Create simple business templates.
Invoices, client onboarding forms, quotation templates, follow-up messages, proposal templates, FAQs and customer-service scripts.
Small businesses need these things but often don't have them.
8. Research competitors for small businesses.
Take a business's competitors, offers, pricing, reviews and social media content.
Use AI to help organise the information into a simple competitor report.
You're not selling AI research.
You're selling useful information that helps the business make decisions.
9. Create lead lists for businesses.
For example, find potential corporate clients, event planners, hotels, schools or other businesses that fit a client's target market.
Organise publicly available business information into a clean spreadsheet.
The value is in finding and organising the right prospects not blindly scraping people's private information.
10. Become the person who helps a small business actually use AI.
Don't sell them a complicated AI course.
Show them how to use simple tools to write customer replies, organise information, create content, summarise meetings and build repeatable workflows.
Charge for the setup and training.
The biggest mistake is trying to sell AI.
Find something people already pay for.
Use AI to deliver it faster.
That's a much more realistic way to start.
